I have always wanted to run a marathon before I was 50 and time is running out so this has to be the year and withy London holding the 2012 Olympics, what better time.  It is also an added bonus of raising money for a worthwhile chairty and I hope to raise at least £1000,00 and at the ame time meet my personal goal.

I am a 33 year old Chartered Surveyor originally from Todmorden but now living in Leeds. This will be my second marathon, having
run the Venice Marathon October 2010 in 3 hours 42. I am hoping to complete London in sub 3 hours 30.

I am a Nurse working with people with learning disabilities, working with people who are currently experiencing distress or who have experienced abuse.  I have been running for about 5 years and living in East Devon am usually to be found running up and down hills and along the coastal path. I enjoy long distance and multi terrain events (which really translates asmuddy !). I am a member of Sidmouth running club and enjoy the freedom, camaraderie and sense of wellbeing which running gives.  This will be my third marathon and I really wanted to be part of London 2012.  To therefore run for a charity that I know through my work is really meaningful for me.
