JAKE LOWE Jake Lowe
Hi I'm Jake. I'm 29 years old, I'm a personal trainer from Derby, and I cannot wait for the London marathon!

When I was 16 I had the opportunity to present a children's sports television programme on CBBC, which kick-started my interest in health and fitness. I have a passion for the outdoors of all kinds, and last year I had my first snowboarding experience, in which I still have the bruises to prove it!

I love my job as a personal trainer as it involves taking people's health and well-being aspirations and turning them into a reality. It is very involving and incredibly rewarding. As this year's London marathon will be my first ever marathon it is now my turn to take my ambition and make it a reality!

I look forward to the overwhelming sense of achievment and the ultimate high as I cross the finish line knowing that I have just ran 26.2 miles and raised money in the process for, what I believe to be, one of the most remarkable organisations in the UK.

I commend Kathryn Stone and Voice UK for their incredible work and commitment with the people that need them, and I am priviledged to be running the 2008 London marathon for them!

JOEY BEAVISJoey Beavis
Having started my career in the Royal Navy, I find challenge and hard work very rewarding - which is why I am looking forward to running 26.2 miles at the London Marathon on behalf of Voice UK.

I have been a Personal Trainer for 2½ years and have supported and worked with people from all walks of life. Supporting others in reaching their goals and improving their health and well being brings a great sense of achievement.

Alongside this interest in health and fitness, running for a charity as remarkable as Voice UK enables me to fulfil a personal dream whilst supporting others. I am honoured to be given such a fantastic opportunity to run the London Marathon 2008 for Voice UK and look forward to crossing the finishing line successfully.

CAROLINE HAGEMANCaroline Hageman
Hi, I am 28 years old and a full-time fire fighter with the London Fire Brigade and a part time Personal Trainer. I have always enjoyed participating in many different sports but excelled in kickboxing which I have now been doing for 13 years. My biggest achievement was winning the IKF (International Kickboxing Federation) Welterweight Title in 2005 which I still hold. Training for the London Marathon has been a very different experience for me which has been both challenging and rewarding. I wouldn't like to guess how long it's going to take me, but will hope to raise as much money as possible for a good cause.
