Our work over the last two years has been involved in Devon, Cornwall, Greater Manchester and the West Midlands. We provide :
- direct support for people with a learning disability and other vulnerable people, who have experienced crime, abuse or bullying. We help the person when talking to the police or going to court. We work with victims to access other support or services
- Deliver "Keep Safe Workshops" to groups of people with a learning disability. These are co-facilitated by people with a learning disability. These workshops complement the "Keep Safe Scheme"
- Self Help Groups -- self help groups are established in the regions where we help people with learning disabilities get together to help one another
- Work with the Police, Safer Communities, Social Services and Learning Disability Partnership Boards to raise awareness of Disability Hate Crime, get better support for victims with a disability and encourag more people to report incidents.
- Run events with self advocacy groups.
- Provide Training in Disability Hate Crime
