Course Overview
This course will enable workers to devise development plans in line with the principles of backwards chaining, and equip workers with the skills to effectively give feedback to residents who have a learning disability in way which they will understand more effectively.
Benefits and Outcomes
By the end of the session staff will be able to:
- Identify what is meant by the term 'Backwards Chaining' and how this can benefit the development of people with learning disabilities.
- Will have the opportunity to practice 'Backwards Chaining'
- Understand the skills required in giving effective feedback
- Will devise a plan for giving feedback in a real life situation that they need to deal with.
- Will have the opportunity to practice giving feedback in a supportive environment.
